Yoga is well known for its power to create a healthy body, but few realize the emotional and spiritual benefits. As the only woman to have published a book on the Yoga Sutras (The Secret Power of Yoga), Nischala Joy Devi interprets this ancient text from a heart-centered, intuitive perspective. Devi’s simple, elegant, and deeply personal interpretations capture the spirit of each Sutra, and her suggested practices offer numerous ways to embrace the spirituality of Yoga throughout your day.

Due to the limited number of spaces in this workshop and our contract with the guest teacher, refunds will not be available for cancellations after October 1, 2017.

Bush University is the Aboriginal term for the School of Nature, paying attention to living things, the land and the stars. These are spiritually alive and constantly teaching us, reminding us of our primary role to care for the natural world.

You’ll hear the Wardaman Creation Story with Songs of the Dreaming, and how it links to the Songlines in the night sky.  This experience highlights Yidumduma Bill Harney and his groundbreaking work with Dr. Hugh Cairns in their book, Dark Sparklers.

OM Center • 1216 Howard St. • 402.345.5078
The Rainbow Serpent is one of the oldest continuous spiritual beliefs in the world - one that links creation, the cycle of the seasons and the life-giving essence of water to the world. The mural is a spiritual story painting using the Aboriginal ritual of community painting, everyone working at the same time. Inspired by Aboriginal art styles, local geography/waterways and symbols, each mural is designed and painted by the participants. Celebrate your land with full intention of ensuring all life flourishes in balance.  As Bill Harney says, we “bring happiness to the land.”

8 Healing Sounds Qi Gong Workshop with Sarah Brandt
Saturday, July 22• 11am-2pm • $45 ($40 for early RSVP)

Experience the healing effects of Sound...
The 8 Healing Sounds Qi Gong practice is a combination of rhythmic breathing, vocal tones, and Qi Gong movement to access the organs and energy meridians. It is one of the most popular and enduring Chinese self-healing practices dating beyond 1,500 years ago. I’ve designed this workshop format to facilitate an easy-to-learn and do-it-yourself healing practice.

Learn how to:
- Use vocal sounds that correspond with each internal organ
- Practice Qi Gong movements that coordinate with each sound
-Transform physical & emotional symptoms
- Enhance health, raise vitality and de-stress

This Traditional Chinese practice combines vocal sound waves to synchronize with each organ, in coordination with body movements to direct healing Qi (vital energy) the internal organs. As we vocalize each of the healing syllables the corresponding internal organs are gently stimulated and rejuvenated, while the related body movements enhance Qi flow and restore the associated organs. In the Taoist tradition, this longevity practice enhances one’s overall well-being and works directly upon particular organs, emotions and energy channels.

Give yourself a tune-up and join me for this fun transformational experience!

Foundation For Shamanic Studies Presents:
Shamanic Divination Training
(Nonresidential Weekend Workshop)
Early Registration on or before May 17, 2017 $220  (After May 17, $240)

One of the classic tasks of the shaman is to journey into non-ordinary reality in order to obtain answers to questions, both at the request of others and for oneself. Participants in the workshop have the opportunity to engage in divination journeys for each other as well as for themselves and to gain experience in using various time-tested shamanic divination techniques. In the shamanic search to become persons of knowledge, they learn, as shamans have from time immemorial, how to converse with plant and animal spirits, how to learn about the use of quartz crystals, and how to seek and receive revelatory knowledge from visionary sources.

13 FSS Continuing Education (CE) Credits available.
