Libba Harmon, certified yoga teacher and licensed acupuncturist, found yoga in the early 90's, during her days as aThai Boxer. When she decided to become a lover-not-a-fighter, Libba spent some time kicking around NYC, looking for some good asana. Being a downtown gal, Libba enjoyed the East Village yoga of years past, made sure to get in on some great visiting masters, andtaught at several downtown studios until the day she moved to Omaha, where she blossomed a busy acupuncture practice and brought sweaty NYC vinyasa to the midwest set. Libba recently spent 2 years living in Panama, where she launched Rancho Kula, a yoga/surf retreat business. Libba's style has grown into a challenging hybrid of alignment-based and playful vinyasa, with periodic opportunity to tone it down considerably. . . here or there, you might catch her teaching a slower, lower practice.

Dec. 3 - "Mirror Image: Mind-Body Awareness & True Self-Image" Talk & Demo
with founder Phillip Starr
2-3:30pm • $FREE

Mirror Image is one of the newest, most cutting-edge body-mind techniques! Blended with ancient QiGong principles, accessible to everyone, and recently developed in the U.S., Mirror Image has just been introduced to the U.K. by its founder, Phillip Starr. This technique is now fully endorsed by Dr. Maorong Jiang, a renowned professor at Omaha’s Creighton University!

Mirror Image uniquely blends Chinese QiGong (internal energy) routines with principles of body structure and movement that have been taken directly from ancient, traditional forms of Chinese martial arts principles, then marries them with self-image psychology to assess and develop your true self-image. With the awareness gained through Mirror Image, you can impact your overall health, relationships, performance at work or school, and your ability to reach your goals.

This introductory session is NOT simply a lecture; it is a hands-on, physical approach to the subject of self-image psychology that works! In this class, you will directly, physically experience the changes this awareness has on your true self-image! As a result, you will perform physical feats that you never imagined possible…until now!

If you can sit or stand, you can master the principles of Mirror Image and enjoy the many benefits it offers!

Develop unshakeable self-confidence and self-discipline.

Perform better in all aspects of your job and other activities
Harness the power of your creative imagination.

Alleviate fear, worry, and self-doubt.

Effortlessly eliminate bad habits.

Attract what you want into your life.
Eliminate what you don't want.

Clear clutter and confusion from your thinking.

Improve your health!

Mirror Image is for everyone – even young children can benefit from learning these special techniques!

Having begun martial arts training in judo in 1956, Starr soon became one of the first Americans to study kung fu and was the only American student of Master W.C. Chen, one of China’s premier martial arts masters. Starr became a U.S. National Champion in 1976, the first kung fu stylist to be awarded that title. From 1991 to 1995, he served as National Chairman for the Amateur Athletic Union Chinese Martial Arts Division, which subsequently became the largest kung fu organization in the United States. Also in 1991, Starr returned from competition retirement to win the title of U.S. National Champion at the age of 42, That same year, he received the AAU's highest honor, the Presidential Leadership Award. In 1992, he was named to the Kung Fu Hall of Fame by Inside Kung Fu magazine for "Outstanding Contribution to Chinese Martial Arts." He was also named as a “living treasure” by the Creighton Asian Studies Center.

Starr has now authored four best-selling martial arts books, and as one of the foremost authorities on Chinese internal martial arts, he regularly travels throughout the U.S. and Europe to teach seminars. Together with Dr. Maorong Jiang, Starr is currently authoring a book about the new Mirror Image technique.

Dec. 9 - Meditation & Mindfulness for Psychotherapists
with Richard Potter
1-4:30pm • $35 adv/$40 day of • 3.5 CEUs!

Mindfulness is entering the mainstream of psychotherapy through a variety of “mindfulness-based interventions.” From the work of Kabat-Zinn to Ron Siegel to Marsha Linehan and beyond, therapists are finding that mindfulness, and by extension the broader field of meditation, can be extremely useful as a tool in the therapist’s toolkit. However, mindfulness and meditation are most effective when therapists are well-versed in the methods of meditation and able to apply the practice of mindfulness in their own daily lives.

This seminar will explore several techniques for controlling, stilling, and mastering the therapist’s thoughts, feelings, and actions, as well as suggestions that could allow for the development of a daily practice of meditation.

Richard Potter is a clinical social worker and licensed mental health practitioner. He taught social work at Dana College for 26 years. Richard is also a senior teacher for the Sufi Order International and has been a spiritual guide and teacher for more than three decades. He is the author of Authentic Spirituality: The Direct Path to Consciousness and Spiritual Development for Beginners: A Guide for Leading a Purpose-Filled Life with Jan Potter. Richard has held classes over the years at OM.
