Aromatherapy 101 with Instructor Chanell Jaramillo
Saturday • September 21 • 9am-5pm • $75 • (8 CE's) • RSVP OM Center 402-345-5078
The
wonder, versatility and liveliness of these living energies are ideal
alternatives to synthetic chemical medicines and fragrances. The
simplicity of aromatherapy application takes very little effort and yet
the benefits are considerable. However, it must be said that
aromatherapy is not an art to be taken lightly. The use of essential
oils should be accomplished with knowledge, respect and honor of the
plant kingdom. Though these living energies are natural, effective and
mostly safe, they are also powerful healing agents with
contraindications.
Essential oils
are medicines provided by our plant kingdom and therefore, like any
ecological healing medium knowledge and respect are of utmost
importance. There is much confusion that lies within the world of plant
medicine and aromatherapy is not in the clear of this often
misrepresented field. In fact, it is one of the most boldly used forms
of plant chemicals in the health and wellness industry.
This
course will provide massage therapist with the essential knowledge
needed to work with aromatherapy in their professional practice. This
course will focus on 12-15 popular oils.
Chanell Jaramillo is
a PhD candidate and an integrative holistic health practitioner and
educator. She is an approved provider for the NCBTMB (#169). In addition
she is an affiliate member with the International Center of Reiki
Training, a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, and a Board
Certified member of the American Association of Drugless Practioners.

sound, vibration, movement, breath, and visualization for balancing the mind and body.
In the Taoist tradition, this practice enhances one’s overall well-being
and works directly upon particular organs, emotions and energy channels in the body.
These Ancient Taoist Healing practices
will enable you to transform the effects of emotions and daily stress through sound and movement. There is an old saying, “Our ‘issues’ reflect in our tissues.” Strong emotions and high stress require extra energy and have an effect on the body’s immunity and organs, often accelerating the aging process. This class will review the five major organs and their associated emotions, colors, sounds & elements—in accordance with the Chinese 5 Element Theory. The 8 Healing Sounds & Movements is a practice for self-healing and rejuvenation. Discover how to integrate sound with movement to maintain a life of wellness and harmony!

Family and Systems Constellations
Facilitated by Larry Kessler, M.A.
Friday • September 27 • 6:30-9:30pm • $45 with RSVP/$35 w/PayPal before Sept. 26
“As long as our ancestors are still suffering within us, we cannot be truly happy. If we make a step with awareness . . .
we do this for all the past and future generations. They all arrive at the same moment we arrive and we all find peace at the same time.”
- Thich Nhat Hahn, Buddhist Monk
“We are affected by the seven generations that come before us and affect the seven generations that will follow.”
- Francesca M. Boring, Shoshone Elder
- Francesca M. Boring, Shoshone Elder
It
is obvious that our ancestors affect us physically through our DNA.
What is not so obvious is that the emotional and behavioral imprints of
our ancestors keep showing up generation after generation.
Emotional, mental, and physical conditions—not to mention relationship
issues, that we assume are our problems may actually be issues we carry
for our parents, their parents, and/or their parents, and on and on.
Family constellations reveal the past wrongs, hidden dynamics, and
entanglements of our families and their effects on our personal as well
as business lives. The constellations resolve these issues and allow
love to return and flow through our lineage. Our soul can then make a
movement toward peace and understanding. A deep sense of wholeness
follows.In a family/system
constellation, a person chooses others from the group to represent
family members or even work colleagues. After he arranges them in the
room, the stresses on the family or work system come to light. The
representatives surprisingly feel and think what the people they are
representing felt and thought and start moving and interacting in a new
dynamic. The stresses on the system are then resolved and the love hidden
in the system allowed to flow. Based on the discoveries of Bert
Hellinger, this is a technique that is acknowledged worldwide and
growing in popularity in the United States. It is astonishing, powerful,
and beautiful, loving work.
